The first edition of the workshop was held on May 6-7, 2013 in St. Paul, Minnesota [website]

The workshop on Engineering Multi-Agent Systems (EMAS) was formed as a merger of three existing workshops:

• Agent Oriented Software Engineering (AOSE)
• Declarative Agent Languages and Technologies (DALT)
• Programming Multiagent Systems (ProMAS)
